Ben Hayes / PResident

Ben’s career as an insurance consultant began in 2009 where he quickly developed a strong clientele in the national account life and disability consulting industry. Working with America’s largest corporations, Ben has developed business processes and service standards that deliver value back to the stakeholder.

As President of Freestone Insurance Group, Ben will continue to develop this company based on its founding principle; “The client is all that matters”.

In addition to focusing on insurance consulting, Ben is active within his community. Ben is an advisory board member for the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, and a member of the Phoenix-based charitable organization, The Thunderbirds.

Ben has a passion for the outdoors. His favorite activities include fly fishing, golf, mountain biking and boating.

Jake Cramer / Chief Operating Officer

Jake's diverse career in the insurance industry began in 2008 working as a Regional Sales Representative for a national leading carrier. His primary focus was working directly with employee benefits brokers/consultants to provide expertise and knowledge regarding an industry leading product portfolio that included life, disability, dental and voluntary products.

As Cheif Operating Officer of Freestone Insurance Group, Jake's primary focus is oversight of business operations, while remaining focused on servicing Freestone's valued clients and collaborative partners.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Jake has a passion for community service and helping those less fortunate. He is involved with Friends of the Orphans and Esperanca, two charities whose primary focus is to care for orphaned children in 3rd world countries.

Jake is dedicated to his growing family and spending time with his wife and their two young sons. In addition, he loves being outside, participating in activities that include camping, fly fishing, off-roading, mountain biking and golf.


Bryan Matousek / Vice President of Employee Benefit Services

Bryan has over 20 years of experience in the employee benefits business. He primarily focuses on partnering with his clients regarding the health education of their employees and developing creative benefit strategies to improve plan costs and employee health.  Prior to joining Freestone, Bryan worked with clients of all sizes on both the insurance carrier and benefits consultant side of the insurance industry.

As the Vice President of Employee Benefit Services, Bryan is responsible for leading our client service team to develop and implement holistic benefit strategies that address our customers unique business challenges and ensure we are exceeding their expectations.

Bryan is a second generation Arizonan with a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University. As an avid SCUBA Diver, Bryan, along with his wife and three children, are strong advocates for ocean conservation and protecting the ocean’s habitats and wildlife.
