Ben’s career as an insurance consultant began in 2009 where he quickly developed a strong clientele in the national account life and disability consulting industry. Working with several of America’s largest corporations, Ben has developed business processes and service standards that deliver value back to the stakeholder.As President of Freestone Insurance Group, Ben will continue to develop this company based on its founding principle; “The client is all that matters”.
In addition to focusing on insurance consulting, Ben is active within his community. Ben is an advisory board member for the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, and a member of the Phoenix-based charitable organization, The Thunderbirds.
Ben has a passion for the outdoors. His favorite activities include fly fishing, golf, mountain biking, and boating.

Jake’s diverse career in the insurance industry began in 2008 working as a Regional Sales Representative for a national leading carrier. His primary focus was working directly with employee benefits brokers/consultants to provide expertise and knowledge regarding an industry leading product portfolio that included life, disability, dental, and voluntary products.As Chief Operating Officer of Freestone Insurance Group, Jake’s primary focus is oversight of business operations, while remaining focused on servicing Freestone’s valued clients and collaborative partners.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Jake has a passion for community service and helping those less fortunate. He is involved with Friends of the Orphans and Esperanca, two charities whose primary focus is to care for orphaned children in 3rd world countries. He is also a member of Executive Council 70, a Phoenix-based charitable organization committed to raising money for local youth.
Jake is dedicated to his growing family and spending time with his wife and their three young sons. In addition, he loves being outside, participating in activities that include camping, fly fishing, off-roading, mountain biking and golf.

Nick began his career in the insurance industry as a consultant for a large national broker, consulting middle to large businesses throughout the United States. Working with marquee accounts throughout the country, Nick’s primary goal is to always serve the client as he would want to be served, while providing unique and financially beneficial solutions.As the leader of Freestone property and casualty division, Nick’s primary focus is to provide the market with unmatched service, while growing the company to be the premier independent brokerage.
Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Nick moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. Nick is an active member in many local and national business and industry associations. He is a member of Executive Council 70, a Phoenix-based charitable organization committed to raising money for local youth.
Nick lives in Phoenix with his wife, Alex, and their two sons. In addition, he enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with family.

Joe has 10 years of experience in the affluent personal insurance space. It has always been his goal to help build a relationship-based, service focused agency that will exceed client expectations and elevate the industry as a whole. This is the goal he tries to achieve when he arrives at the Freestone office every day.He stays educated on the ever-changing insurance marketplace and trends in order to create as much value as possible for his relationships.
Originally from Minnesota, Joe moved to Arizona in 2007 and found himself right at home. When he isn’t in the office, you’ll find Joe on the golf course or hiking and exploring the Southwest with his family and friends.

Vice President of Employee Benefits Strategy
Jaime has over 12 years in the employee benefits business. His career began with a major national insurance carrier focusing on underwriting, analytics, and sales. After his time on the insurance carrier side, he began a career in employee benefits consulting acting as a trusted advisor for clients of all sizes.In his most recent role, he led the Phoenix financial consulting practice for a global leading advisory firm driving strategy for public and private clients in Arizona.
As the Vice President of Employee Benefits Strategy, Jaime’s primary focus is creating data-driven insights and turning them into strategic action for all Freestone clients.
He is dedicated to understanding the unique business challenges and guiding principles of our clients while always bringing a point of view to help move the business forward.
Jaime is a California transplant and a graduate of Arizona State University. In his free time, he is an avid football and international soccer fan and loves to explore new restaurants with his wife and son. He loves animals and is a strong advocate for adopting or fostering rescue pets.

Director of Client Services
Jen started her career in the employee benefits industry in 1996. During that time, she has worked in an account management capacity for national consulting firms and insurance carriers specializing in all ancillary product offerings. Before joining Freestone, Jen led a team of Account Managers focused on providing unbundled stop loss and cost management solutions for self-funded health plans supporting every aspect of client service.
As the Director of Client Services at Freestone Insurance Group, Jen is passionate about going above and beyond to make a meaningful impact for our clients in the administration and plan performance of their employee benefits program. She has a strong operations background and an intuitive ability to understand unique client needs with an emphasis on problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
Jen obtained her Certified Leave Management Specialist designation after identifying significant Leave administration challenges facing employers. She is uniquely positioned to provide solutions-based support to reduce this pain point for clients.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Jen moved to Arizona in 1998 and has called our state home ever since. She is an active volunteer at her son’s school, where she assists in organizing charitable events and supports various school initiatives that give back to the local community. Jen enjoys spending time with family and attributes her yoga practice to helping her cultivate positive energy both personally and professionally.

Jean’s career as an insurance professional spans more than 20 years across a broad spectrum of clientele. Starting as a Surety executive in an agency in Wyoming, she combined the Commercial Insurance department with Surety to launch the firm into becoming one of the top issuers of contractor’s insurance in the state.After moving to Arizona, Jean joined an agency in Scottsdale and assisted in ownership transition and key relationship management across a broad base of clients. She established divisions for Workers Compensation, Professional Liability, Commercial and Personal Insurance. As a result, the agency grew to become one of the top 25 in the Valley at that time.
Following a brief hiatus from the industry, Jean rejoined the insurance community by assisting a long-time family agency into legacy ownership. Her duties included managing both Commercial and Private Client areas with a focus on reestablishing the highest level of client service as well as creating new revenue streams to meet growth objectives.
As Director of Client Services – Commercial Lines Division, Jean brings a deep understanding of all lines of insurance, along with 100% dedication to accurate coverage solutions and top-level service delivery.
Jean lives in Scottsdale, AZ with her husband and two West Highland Terriers. She enjoys all things outdoors including riding her Harley, hiking, fishing and camping.
